September 2008
Dear Glenn,
The Committee to Elect Chef Michael Ty, CEC, AAC, is proud to announce his candidacy for ACF National President in 2009. Chef Ty offers a proven track record established during his term as ACF National President in the early 1990's.
Dynamic Accomplishment
As a successful, independent businessman, Chef Ty appreciates the values of a member driven organization by offering a sense of openness for all members to contribute. He considers this activity an integral part of a vibrant, growing organization.
When previously serving as ACF's national president, he led the ACF to the forefront of our industry by building partnerships ... with related associations, and the United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition.
Now is the time to bring back this lost heritage. Bring back the many members who have abandoned our ACF precepts during these past years; bring back our fame and stature in the foodservice industry. Let us bring back a strong voice that impacts the image of all ACF members.
Communicate Your Concerns
Chef Ty has compiled his core platform for the coming election and is reaching out to all ACF members asking for input. Together, let us identify improvements, and isolate the pressing challenges and concerns now facing our profession and industry. Your thoughts and contributions in establishing a unified voice - comprised of all ACF members - will be paramount in pursuing our aspirations, and nurturing our future needs.
We invite you to blog or email us with all issues of interest to you. Our blog address will be published on Chef Ty's Web site soon.
Join us in rejuvenating our real ACF values.
Sincerely,
Chef Dieter Preiser, CEC, AAC
Chairman - Committee to Elect Chef Michael Ty, ACF President 2009
